I think BP is handling the spill pretty well. They have hired around 4,500 unemployed workers to help cleanup the beaches. They will rake, shovel debris, operate front-end loaders, or power washers to clean rocks, and wipe/wash oil-covered items. I think this is a successful plan and many people will benefit with the job offer. However, I don't think they should turn people away who want to participate just because they already have enough people. These people are unemployed and any job will help them out.

It's interesting how BP is turning the disaster into job oppurtunity for some.
